I'm Kelsey Paige Hamersley, a 20-something Christian artist who recently moved from Ohio to Round Rock, Texas. I've been drawing ever since I could hold a pen, and took art lessons from local Ohio artist Fred del Guidice from 2006-2014. Recently, I graduated from Cuyahoga Community College with an Associate of Arts.
Although I'm not really sure where I'm going with my art yet--the possibilities really are endless--I am fascinated with illustration, particularly anything having to do with fairy tales and fantasy.
If you are interested, I am available for commission to create portraits or other artworks. For further information on that, please see my 'Pricing' page. If you have any questions, I can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I have prints, stationery cards, and iPhone cases and skins of my artwork available on my Society6 profile. If you are interested in a print of one of my paintings or drawings that is not currently posted there, I can add them at your request.
I employ a variety of media, including watercolor, oil, and acrylic paints, pastel, graphite pencil, colored pencil, charcoal, pastel, pen & ink, ink wash, mixed media, etc. Pen & ink and watercolor are a favorite combination of mine.
My subject matter include portraits, landscapes, buildings, still lifes, etc. I am particularly drawn to producing fairy tale or fantasy illustrations.
I employ a variety of styles, customized to suit the purpose and mood of the project at hand. I especially prefer a detailed, stylized approach, drawing inspiration from artists such as Arthur Rackham, Edmund Dulac, Tasha Tudor, and Trina Schart Hyman (to name a few).
